• Meet Palliative and Hospice Medical Director Dr. Dee Moonesinghe

  • dr dee medical directorAs a hospice certified medical director, and palliative and hospice board-certified physician, Dr. Dee Moonesinghe brings to Paradigm Health a wealth of hands-on knowledge and compassionate leadership experience. Dr. Moonesinghe was instrumental in launching the hospitalist program at Howard Regional Hospital where she also served as program director.

    She also initiated the inpatient palliative care program at Community Howard Regional Hospital and has been a hospice physician for a decade leading IDG teams, mentoring practitioners, care teams, and families. As a leader, Dr. Moonesinghe has served as vice president and the physician executive for Community Hospital North with Community Health Network (CHNw). She previously served in this role at Community Howard Regional Hospital prior to her move to the north region. In these roles, she led clinical care and oversaw quality and safety for the region to ensure strategic alignment and growth. Dr. Moonesinghe has been actively involved in the Network Bioethics Council, Root Cause Analysis team and the Network Breach Committee. She is CPE-certified with the American Academy of Physician Leaders (AAPL) and completed her yearlong enrollment in CHNw’s Physician Leadership Academy. She is currently working toward completing her MBA. In her spare time, she is an avid half marathoner, a scrap booker, loves to travel, and enjoys volunteering for a good cause. She also serves on the board of directors for Easterseals Crossroads.
