Jeff Jarecki, founder, president and CEO of Paradigm Living Concepts, LLC (Paradigm Health) has announced his decision to retire from the company.
Paradigm Health has appointed Michelle Pickering to succeed Jarecki as president and CEO. She will also be nominated to the company’s advisory board in conjunction with her duties as president and CEO.
The transition comes at a perfect time as Paradigm was recently named a “Top Workplace in the United States” by Top Workplaces. With Paradigm’s industry-leading team satisfaction scores and employee retention rates, Paradigm has positioned itself as an employer of choice in Indiana — and a leader in hospice and palliative care throughout Central Indiana.
Concurrent with Pickering’s appointment as CEO, Jarecki will transition from CEO to chairman of the advisory board after more than nine years as president and CEO.
“I am very excited about Michelle joining Paradigm,” commented Jarecki. “Her experience, knowledge, compassion, and leadership are a perfect fit to not only embrace our culture but help lead Paradigm to continued new heights.” Jarecki added, “I look forward to being able to step away from the day-to-day responsibilities yet maintain a presence in our strategic direction.”
According to Pickering, “Jeff, the Paradigm team, and I share a similar mindset that demonstrates our commitment to our team members, patients, and the mission of delivering exceptional patient care. Our intention is to continue to grow Paradigm, enabling us to provide a superior hospice experience to an even greater number of patients.”
Pickering has extensive experience in hospice, home health and the post-acute provider delivery space. Before joining Paradigm, she served as vice president of operations for Bristol Hospice overseeing a majority of their transitional and acquired hospice companies. Additionally, she served as board president for various joint-venture partnerships with notable institutions such as Caremore, Anthem and Monarch/Optum. Her healthcare experience spans over 13 years in various executive leadership roles across the entire post-acute healthcare continuum, including payors and providers such as Dignity Health (CommonSpirit), Silverado and Health Essentials.
