At Paradigm Health, we take caregiving to heart. Not only for our patients, but for our community. Each month, we’ll be featuring a Paradigm Health team member to learn more about how they give back in their community.
Gigi Conway
Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner
“During these crazy times, I feel that I have been blessed to be able to continue to work. I want to bless as many others as I can, so I volunteer my time helping hand out food to those in need — our community’s most vulnerable —and sending up prayers. My relationship with God is very important to me and I feel that whether it be by my work as a Paradigm Health palliative care nurse practitioner or as a neighbor handing out food, I need to be serving others.
I was with others from my church the week these pictures were taken. We went downtown and handed out snack bags to the homeless that were in the parks and made goodie bags for those in nursing homes to let them know they are not forgotten. We handed out boxes of food at the Salvation Army apartments downtown going door to door and at a drive–through at a middle school for the community of Anderson. I always try to maintain an attitude of gratitude. It is nice to live in a bubble at times, but I want to get out and show those who need our support the most, how much they are loved and appreciated when it does not always feel that way.”
