Calling all veteran volunteers — are you a veteran who would enjoy sharing time with another veteran who is receiving hospice care? Many of Paradigm Health’s veteran hospice patients would be especially comforted by knowing the shared veteran experience is a part of their volunteer’s life and history.

Paradigm Health is a proud partner of the We Honor Veterans program, a program of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).  Programs like Vet-to-Vet and No Veteran Dies Alone are two special programs that maximize the veteran shared experience.

We are in search of veteran volunteers who can bring this added and connecting dimension to the veteran hospice journey.

“I had the honor of working with some of the most dedicated men and women our country has to offer. We were from all types of backgrounds, and always figured out a way to accomplish the mission together. With volunteering, it’s taking the time to communicate, share stories, and have a good time while taking the focus off the end-of-life experience. I’m positive the time spent as a volunteer helps me as much as it does them. They enjoy sharing their stories or those of family members and I try to add in some stories about my own life to show how similar we all really are.”  Paradigm Health Veteran Volunteer Bill Krueper
