Paradigm Health Providing Compassionate Hospice Care
for Those Who Have Served Our Country

Paradigm Health is a proud partner of the  We Honor Veterans  program, a program of the  National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO).  We are especially honored to serve the veterans of all the armed forces. Paradigm Health has the compassionate caregiving team approach and resources to support the challenges veterans can face during their end-of-life hospice journey.

Veteran Care — What to Expect

Through the We Honor Vets program, Paradigm Health can assist to streamline the referral and admission process, educate our staff and communities about end-of-life needs for veterans, and coordinate care with the VA and other organizations. We also provide veteran-to-veteran volunteer programs and connect veterans and their families with community resources. Paradigm Health is proud to be a level 4  We Honor Veterans  partner.

How is Care Covered?

A question we are often asked is how is a veteran’s hospice care covered? Veteran care is covered by Medicare, Medicaid, and other insurance providers. Veterans who are not covered under one of these agencies should be covered under the Veterans Administration’s benefit program.

Paradigm Health hospice volunteer Bill Krueper retired from the Navy in early 2020 after 20 years of service. He’s spent his entire career collaborating and working alongside many throughout those two decades dedicated to serving his country and others.  Now, he volunteers his time to offer companionship and connection to hospice patients.

“I had the honor of working with some of the most dedicated men and women our country has to offer. We were from all types of backgrounds, and always figured out a way to accomplish the mission together. With volunteering, it’s taking the time to communicate, share stories, and have a good time while taking the focus off of the end-of-life experience. I’m positive the time spent as a volunteer helps me as much as it does them. They enjoy sharing their stories or those of family members and I try to add in some stories about my own life to show how similar we all really are.”
